PANews reported on November 5th, citing Bloomberg, that Gemini, the cryptocurrency exchange founded by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, is planning to launch prediction market contracts, joining the growing prediction market arena. Gemini applied to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in May to establish a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and is considering listing prediction-based derivatives contracts on the platform. The application is currently under review and is expected to face further delays due to the government shutdown.
