At the recent 2025 Bitcoin Conference in Amsterdam, Luxembourg's Finance Minister delivered a major speech announcing that the country's sovereign wealth fund has officially allocated 1% of its assets to Bitcoin, emphasizing that this is a "decision that has already been implemented."

Although investment policies allow for the allocation of any crypto asset, Luxembourg has chosen to invest solely in Bitcoin, quoting Michael Saylor's famous saying, "There is no second-best option," indicating its commitment to a single, long-term strategy at the national level.

The minister stated unequivocally at the event, "Luxembourg is firmly committed to HODL," and pointed out that global crypto adoption is still in its early stages, but he believes other countries will quickly follow suit. He added that as a major European financial center, Luxembourg's interactions with global businesses and institutions demonstrate that "digital assets have become a core agenda for everyone."
