PANews reported on November 17 that, according to Caixin Weekly, the main suspect in the case, Qian Zhimin, submitted an access code for a confiscated device and the passwords for two encrypted wallets to the police while he was in custody in September 2025. As a result, the police discovered that in addition to the approximately 61,000 Bitcoins that had been frozen, he also held Bitcoins and XRP worth approximately £67 million.
