PANews reported on September 4th that Reuters reported that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC ) has officially announced its regulatory agenda for the coming months. The SEC plans to propose rules for the issuance and sale of cryptocurrencies, which may include exemptions and safe harbors, and is considering allowing crypto assets to be traded on national securities exchanges and alternative trading systems. Furthermore, the SEC plans to streamline Wall Street disclosure requirements and reduce the compliance burden on the industry. Previously, the SEC had dropped lawsuits against crypto trading platforms such as Coinbase and Binance .
