PANews reported on February 11 that according to the Xinwen Lianbo report, US President Trump signed an executive order announcing a 25% tariff on all steel and aluminum imported into the United States. Trump said on the same day that there would be "no exceptions and exemptions" to the relevant requirements.

Trump imposed a 25% tariff on steel entering the United States and a 10% tariff on aluminum entering the country during his first term, later granting duty-free quotas to trading partners such as Canada, Mexico, the European Union and the United Kingdom.
