PANews reported on August 21 that according to the official Jito Network forum, the JIP-25 proposal plans to expand the number of Stake Pool validators to 400, modify the StakeNet scoring system, and optimize the ranking mechanism to reduce PvP behavior and improve network health.
Meanwhile, another draft proposal proposes the introduction of a "directed staking" feature, allowing large JitoSOL holders and specific DeFi protocols to stake directly with eligible validators, while maintaining the majority of stake allocated through a permissionless algorithm. Both proposals aim to enhance the stability of Stake Pool returns, support high-quality validators, and further develop the Solana ecosystem.
