PANews reported on February 17 that Tether announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of the Republic of Guinea, aiming to drive economic growth through blockchain and peer-to-peer technology and position the country as a leader in digital transformation in Africa. This move will help Guinea make progress in education, innovation and sustainable technology practices, and promote the transfer of international knowledge. The agreement also supports Guinea's "Innovation City" project to promote the development of technology, research and entrepreneurship to drive economic growth and strengthen technological innovation.
