블록체인 전문 보안업체 서틱(CertiK)이 공식 트위터를 통해 "탈중앙화 암호화폐 거래소(DEX) 멀린(Merlin)의 익스플로잇으로 인해 손실된 200만 달러 규모의 피해액을 보상하기 위해 ZKSync와 함께 커뮤니티 보상 계획을 모색하고 있다"고 밝혔다. 이와 관련해 서틱은 "조사에 따르면, 문제의 개발자는 유럽에 기반을 두고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 그들에게 20%의 화이트햇 바운티(white hat bounty)를 제안했다"며 "감사 보고서에서 프라이빗 키 권한 문제를 언급했지만, 우리는 피해 유저를 지원할 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
