디크립트에 따르면 친암호화폐 성향으로 분류되는 미국 오하이오주 공화당 상원 후보 버니 모레노(Bernie Moreno)가 선거에서 260만 표(50.5%)를 확보해 승리가 확정됐다. 모레노의 상대 후보는 대표적인 반암호화폐 의원인 셰로드 브라운(Sherrod Brown)이다. 엘리노어 테렛(Eleanor Terrett) 폭스비즈니스 기자는 "모레노는 암호화폐 산업 자금으로 4000만 달러를 후원한 슈퍼PAC(정치후원회) 디펜스아메리칸잡스(Defend American Jobs)를 지지한다고 발표했다"고 설명했다.
