암호화폐 전문 금융 서비스 기업 갤럭시디지털의 CEO인 마이크 노보그라츠(Mike Novogratz)가 야후 파이낸스와의 인터뷰를 통해 “미국 정부가 준비전략자산으로 비트코인을 100만개 매집할 가능성은 낮다. 하지만 미국이 글로벌 암호화폐 리더십의 의지를 보여주려고 한다는 점은 높게 평가할만 하다”고 밝혔다. 그러면서 “미국 달러가 보여주는 군사적, 경제적 입지를 생각했을 때 비트코인이 줄 이점은 크지 않다. 하지만 미국 정부가 보유 중인 BTC를 매도하지 않는다면, 그것만으로 시장에 주는 메시지는 분명할 것”이라고 설명했다. 아울러 그는 “비트코인이 10만 달러를 돌파하는 것은 도달 가능한 목표다. 특히 각 국가의 연기금이 비트코인 보유량을 늘린다면 가격 상승세는 걷잡을 수 없이 커질 것”이라고 강조했다.
