웨일와이어 소속 애널리스트 제이콥 킹(Jacob King)이 X를 통해 "실제 비트코인을 능가할 가능성이 있는 유일한 암호화폐는 리플(XRP)이다. 리플은 테더(USDT)나 비트코인과 달리 실질적인 유용성을 갖추고 있다. 비트코인 지지자들과 미국 증권거래위원회(SEC) 등의 기관들이 리플을 공격하는 이유는 그들에게 위협이 될 것이라고 판단했기 때문"이라고 설명했다.
