反암호화폐 SEC 위원 재지명 표결, 오전→오후 연기

폭스비즈니스에 따르면 11일(현지시간) 오전으로 예정됐던 미국 증권거래위원회(SEC) 위원 캐롤라인 크렌쇼(Caroline Crenshaw)의 재지명 제안 관련 표결이 같은 날 오후로 연기됐다. 의원들의 참석 문제로 일정을 연기했다는 설명이다. 크렌쇼는 게리 겐슬러 SEC 위원장의 최측근으로, BTC 현물 ETF 심의 당시 반대표를 던지는 등 반암호화폐 인물로 분류된다. 앞서 암호화폐 로비그룹 등이 크렌쇼에 대한 재지명 철회를 요구한 바 있다.
