크립토슬레이트에 따르면 미국 앨라배마 주 감사관 앤드류 소렐(Andrew Sorrell)이 주 준비금에 BTC를 포함시킬 것을 제안했다. 그는 "다양한 투자 전략에는 채권을 넘어서는 자산이 포함돼야 한다. 비트코인은 지난 10년 동안 지속적으로 다른 자산군을 능가했지만 앨라배마는 BTC에 대한 익스포저(노출)이 없어 이를 놓치고 있다"고 강조했다.
