제롬 파월 미 연준 의장이 FOMC 후 기자회견에서 "통화정책을 너무 빠르게 완화시키거나 너무 느리가 완화시키는 것에 대해 매우 주의하고 있다. 이렇게 될 경우 경제와 고용이 지나치게 약화될 수 있다. 향후 추가적인 금리 조정에 더욱 신중한 모습을 취할 것"이라고 말했다. 이어 "인플레이션이 연준의 목표치인 2%에 지속가능한 수준으로 움직이지 않을 경우 정책을 다시 조정할 수도 있다"고 덧붙였다.
