유럽 미카법 시행 후 USDT 시총 증발…FTX 사태 이후 최대

암호화폐 전문 미디어 더블록이 “지난해 12월 30일(현지시간) 유럽연합(EU)의 암호화폐 규제법 미카(MiCA) 시행 이후 USDT 시가총액이 18억 달러 줄어든 것으로 나타났다. 주간 변동 규모로는 지난 FTX 파산 사태 이후 최대”라고 전했다. 그러면서 “미카 시행일 전 USDT 시총은 1,388억 달러였으나 현재 1,370억 달러로 1.2% 줄었다. 지난 2주로 기간을 벌리면 감소폭은 2.7% 수준이다. 단, USDT 시총 감소에 미카 시행만이 영향을 끼쳤다고 속단하기는 어렵다”고 설명했다.
