코인데스크가 암호화폐 전문 데이터 플랫폼 앰버데이터(Amberdata) 데이터를 인용해 "BTC 옵션 트레이더들이 기초 가격 12만 달러 콜옵션을 순매수 하고 있다. 도널드 트럼프 대통령 당선인이 취임하는 오는 20일 이후 비트코인 가격이 사상 최고점을 경신할 것이라는 기대감이 반영된 결과"라고 분석했다. 이와 관련 앰버데이터 파생상품 부문 총괄 그레그 마가디니(Greg Magadini)는 "취임식 전후로 BTC 가격 상승을 이끌 수 있는 긍정적인 발표나 정책이 나올 가능성이 높다"고 설명했다.
