미 비영리단체, '암호화폐 보고서 공개 거부' SEC에 소송 제기

크립토포테이토에 따르면 정부나 기업의 불법행위를 감독하는 미국 비영리단체 EMPOWR(Empower Oversight Whistleblowers & Research)가 암호화폐 관련 보고서 제공 보류와 관련해 증권거래위원회(SEC)를 고소했다. SEC 감사원실이 1년 전 해당 보고서를 완성했고 정보공개법(FOIA)에 따라 여러차례 공개 요청을 받았음에도 불구하고 이를 공개하지 않았다는 설명이다. 소송에는 또한 윌리엄 힌먼 전 SEC 기업금융국장에 대한 문서 공개도 포함돼 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
