더블록에 따르면 미국 워싱턴 D.C. 연방 지방법원의 아나 C. 레예스(Ana C. Reyes) 판사가 코인베이스와 연방예금보험공사(FDIC) 간의 정보공개법(FOIA) 소송 청문회에서 FDIC의 대응을 강하게 비판했다. 레예스 판사는 "FDIC는 코인베이스의 금융 규제 기관 권한 남용과 관련한 정보공개법 요청을 지나치게 좁은 범위로 해석했다. 요청된 문서를 제출하지 않았거나 일부 정보를 파기했을 가능성이 높다"고 지적했다.
