우블록체인에 따르면 바이비트 CEO 벤 저우가 "다행히 회사 자산은 15억달러를 훨씬 웃돈다. 30억달러 상당 USDT가 보관돼 있는 콜드월렛도 해킹되지 않았다. 만약 해킹 피해액이 100억달러 이상이었다면 회사 매각을 고려했을 수 있다"고 말했다. 앞서 바이비트는 해킹 공격으로 약 14억 달러 규모 ETH를 탈취당한 바 있다.
