미국 텍사스 상원 공화당 전당대회(Caucus) 공식 X 계정에 따르면, 텍사스주 상원에서 비트코인 전략 비축법안(SB21)이 통과됐다. 표결 결과는 찬성 25표, 반대 5표다. 법안 발의자인 텍사스주 상원의원 찰스 슈워트너(Charles Schwertner)는 "이 법안으로 텍사스 재무부는 대차대조표를 강화할 수 있을 것"이라고 말했다. 앞서 텍사스 부지사 댄 패트릭(Dan Patrick)은 2025년 입법 회기 우선 법안으로 '텍사스 비트코인 리저브 설립' 계획을 발표한 바 있다.
