도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령의 BTC 비축안 행정명령 서명과 관련, 암호화폐 자산운용사 비트와이즈(Bitwise)의 최고투자책임자(CIO) 매트 호건(Matt Hougan)이 X를 통해 "시장이 단기적으로 어떻게 반응할지는 모르겠으나, 장기적으로는 BTC에 매우 긍정적이라고 확신한다"고 전했다. 앞서 백악관 암호화폐 차르 데이비드 삭스가 트럼프 대통령이 BTC 비축안 행정명령에 서명했다고 밝힌 바 있다. 이 행정명령은 약 20만 BTC 가량의 압수한 BTC를 비축하고 매도하지 않으며, 납세자의 부담을 늘리지 않는 선에서 더 많은 BTC를 확보할 방안을 마련할 권한을 재무부 및 상무부에 부여하는 것이 골자다.
