미국 증권거래위원회(SEC) 암호화폐 태스크포스(TF) 팀장을 겸임하고 있는 헤스터 피어스(Hester Peirce) 위원이 SEC 첫 원탁회의에 참석, "SEC가 마침내 암호화폐 산업과 협력해 암호화폐 거래 규제감독 정책을 마련할 기회를 잡았다"고 말했다. 코인데스크에 따르면 그는 "SEC는 실행 가능한 프레임워크 구축을 위해 진지하게 노력할 준비가 됐다"고 덧붙였다.
