외신에 따르면 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령은 중국을 제외한 전 국가에 대해 90일 간 관세를 유예하는 방안을 검토 중이라는 오보는 백악관 국가경제위원회(NEC) 위원장에 케빈 해싯의 인터뷰 내용이 다소 와전된 것이 원인인 것으로 전해졌다. 그가 폭스뉴스와의 인터뷰에서 해당 내용에 대한 질문을 받았을 때 “네(Yep)”라는 감탄사를 내뱉은 것이 와전됐다는 것이다. 그는 감탄사 뒤에 “그것은 대통령이 결정할 것”이라고 말했다.
