미국 노동부는 3월 소비자물가지수(CPI)가 전년 동월보다 2.4% 상승했다고 밝혔다. 시장 예상치 2.5%를 하회했다. 전월 대비로는 0.1% 하락해, 이 역시 시장 전망치(0.1% 상승)를 하회했다. 변동성이 큰 식품 및 에너지 가격을 제외한 근원 CPI 또한 전년 대비 2.8% 상승해 예상치(3.0%)를 하회했다.
