코인텔레그래프에 따르면 미국 상원의원 신시아 루미스는 "미국 정부가 보유한 자산의 일부를 비트코인(BTC)으로 전환해 약 20년간 장기 보유할 경우, BTC의 가치 상승을 통해 국가 부채를 절반 수준까지 줄일 수 있다는 시뮬레이션이 존재한다”고 말했다.
