국제결제은행 "자본통제, 암호화폐에는 무력"

국제결제은행(BIS)이 최근 발표한 보고서에서 자본흐름 통제 조치(CFM)는 암호화폐에는 거의 효과가 없었으며, 일부 경우에는 오히려 거래량 증가를 유발했다고 분석했다. 2017년부터 2024년까지의 데이터를 분석한 이 보고서는 "암호화폐는 투기적 투자 자산과 이체 수단으로서의 이중성을 가지고 있으며, 스테이블코인이 기존 금융 시스템이 맡던 국가 간 송금 기능을 대체하는 국면이 나타나고 있다. 이 과정에서 기존 금융 시스템과의 관계도 다시 논의할 필요가 있다"고 진단했다.
