도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 트루스 소셜을 통해 “러시아 푸틴 대통령과 두 시간 동안의 통화를 마쳤고, 대화는 잘 진행됐다. 러시아와 우크라이나는 휴전, 그리고 전쟁 종식을 위해 협상을 시작할 것이다. 그 조건은 양측이 협상을 통해 결정할 것이다. 러시아는 이 재앙적인 상황이 마무리되면 미국과 대규모 무역을 하고 싶어하고, 나 역시 같은 생각”이라고 밝혔다.
