PANews reported on February 19 that according to Bloomberg, Binance CEO Richard Teng said that under the leadership of US President Trump, the United States has gotten rid of the "somewhat oppressive" crypto regulatory system.
The Trump administration has taken a series of crypto-friendly measures in the months since taking office. Richard Teng said in an interview at the Consensus Crypto Conference in Hong Kong: "I think we have ushered in a brand new reset and restart." However, Teng said that Binance is still waiting for more clarity from the United States to decide its plans in the United States.
Teng also said Binance is “carefully considering” several different locations and the board hopes to settle on one “soon.” Speaking at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, Teng expressed his reservations about some of the local regulatory restrictions, including limits on the number of tokens that can be traded and futures trading.
