PANews reported on October 16th that Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong announced on the X platform that Base accounts now support gas fees with any ERC20 token, including USDC. According to screenshots shared by him, in addition to widely supported tokens like USDC (with the list of supported tokens expected to expand soon), the payment manager passed in the app can also accept other tokens for payment.
