Spot silver rises above $60/ounce for the first time

PANews reported on December 9 that international spot silver continued to strengthen as traders bet on a Federal Reserve rate cut, breaking through the psychological barrier of $60/ounce for the first time. The price rose more than 3% intraday, and has gained over $31 or 108% year-to-date.
