PANews reported on October 24th that Anthropic announced on October 23rd local time that it will significantly expand its use of Google's TPU chips. This move will provide the company with the computing power and resources necessary to train and deploy the next-generation Claude model. By 2026, Anthropic will have access to over 1 gigawatt of computing power. The announcement stated that this expansion is Anthropic's largest TPU deployment to date, granting the company access to up to one million TPU chips and access to additional Google Cloud services.
