Connecticut has ordered Kalshi, Robinhood, and Crypto.com to cease their sports betting operations.

PANews reported on December 4th that, according to CoinDesk, the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection issued injunctions on Wednesday against Robinhood, Kalshi, and Crypto.com, accusing them of engaging in unlicensed online gambling through sports event contracts. The state government ordered the three companies to immediately cease their operations, noting that they did not possess state gambling licenses and that the contracts violated multiple state laws. Although the platforms claimed to be regulated by the federal CFTC, the state emphasized that violators would face civil or criminal penalties.
