PANews reported on October 11th that according to analyst Ember's monitoring, a whale purchased 8,637 ETH for 38.017 million DAI at $4,402 per ETH nine days ago. Following today's sharp drop in ETH prices, the whale liquidated their position at $3,764, exchanging ETH for 32.511 million DAI, ultimately losing $5.506 million in a "buy high, sell low" operation.
