Earlier, Šefčović said on the same day that the first part of the EU's tariffs on the US is scheduled to start on April 15, and the second part of the tariffs is scheduled to start on May 15. Šefčović said that EU member states will vote on countermeasures against US steel and aluminum tariffs on April 9. If the vote is passed, the two parts of the EU's tariffs on the US will be levied on April 15 and May 15 respectively.
