PANews reported on June 26 that according to Cointelegraph, the crypto exchange Kraken announced that it had obtained the MiCA license issued by the Central Bank of Ireland, and was allowed to provide compliant crypto services in 30 EU member states. This is another key compliance milestone for Kraken after obtaining the electronic money institution license in 2023 and the MiFID license in February 2025. Kraken's co-CEO said that the license will help the platform expand into the EU market.
