PANews reported on August 20 that the Celo Foundation announced that Elizabeth Peng was promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO). She will be responsible for driving the "Vision 2030" plan, which aims to promote the key adoption and growth of the Celo blockchain and ecosystem, including expanding the scale of the on-chain economy and promoting application scenarios with positive impacts.

It is reported that Elizabeth joined the foundation in May 2022. She served as Director of Communications and Head of Marketing and Communications. She led Celo's transition from an independent EVM-compatible Layer 1 to Ethereum Layer 2, and promoted Celo's influence in the global crypto ecosystem.
