Reuters: U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York plans to reduce cryptocurrency-related cases

PANews reported on November 16 that according to Reuters, Scott Hartman, co-leader of the Securities and Commodities Working Group of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, said that the office plans to reduce cases related to cryptocurrencies. Trump will shift the focus of the Department of Justice to immigration issues. This does not mean that prosecutors will ignore crypto cases, but there will be fewer people handling these cases compared to 2022. Scott Hartman said: "After the cryptocurrency winter, we took over a lot of big cases and there were a lot of important fraud cases. But we know that our regulatory partners are very active in this area, and we don't have many people."
