PANews reported on June 12 that in an official announcement, IOST announced that it will soon launch the Signet Ring basic hardware module, which integrates biometrics and blockchain technology. It provides secure and verifiable digital identity control and is a modular entry point into the IOST RWA ecosystem.

The ring uses innovative “Proof of Heartbeat” technology to achieve decentralized biometric authentication using heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV). As a modular decentralized identity (DID) credential, it will open up a channel for users to access various modules of IOST in the future.

In addition, as an everyday wearable device, Signet Ring also has health functions such as heart rate monitoring and stress tracking, which can strengthen the connection between health data and secure digital access.
