PANews reported on July 8 that in response to the controversy surrounding the UAE’s “Golden Visa” project, TON Foundation CEO Max Crown once again spoke out to clarify, emphasizing that the project was not designed directly by the UAE government, but was promoted through an authorized partner and was not officially recognized by the government.
Binance founder Zhao Changpeng commented that the project's marketing was misleading and that the key details should have been made clear to the public. He pointed out that there is a huge difference between "35,000 USD + 100,000 USD pledge" to obtain a golden visa and just "submitting an application"; there is also the malicious increase in the price of related tokens; these actions are harming the entire industry.
