Romanian State Postal Company Posta Romana Announces Deployment of Cryptocurrency Terminals

PANews reported on June 5 that according to SeeNews, Romania's state-owned postal company Posta Romana announced that it would cooperate with local trading platform Bitcoin Romania to deploy cryptocurrency terminals in post offices. The first terminal has been put into use at Tulcea Post Office No. 1, supporting cash recharges to platform accounts, and will be installed in post offices in four towns including Alexandria and Piatra Neamt. The operator BTR Exchange was established in 2014 and supports 30 cryptocurrency transactions, with a net profit of 2.7 million lei (about 530,000 euros) in 2024. The postal department said the move will enhance digital financial inclusion.
