PANews reported on April 12 that according to The Times, the Scottish private boarding school Lomond School announced its decision to accept Bitcoin payments, which means that the school will become the first school in the UK to start accepting Bitcoin payments. It is reported that Lomond School will accept Bitcoin in stages and will convert the received digital currency into pounds. The school also stated that it will ensure full compliance with British financial regulations when accepting Bitcoin, and will consider establishing Bitcoin reserves if the use of Bitcoin in the UK expands.
