PANews reported on June 4 that according to Cointelegraph, the California State Assembly passed a bill (AB 1180) with 68 votes unanimously, allowing the state government to accept Bitcoin and other digital currencies as a method of payment. The bill has now been sent to the State Senate for deliberation.
