White House trade adviser: Talking about a recession is 'silly', tax cuts are coming

PANews reported on April 7 that White House trade adviser Peter Navarro, one of the most active supporters of Trump's tariffs, downplayed concerns about a recession. "What I would say to retail investors is, don't be scared by all this," Navarro said, referring to the recent market turmoil. "The biggest tax cut in American history, the most extensive tax cut in American history, is coming in a few months, so when you take that into account, any talk of a recession seems silly," he said in an interview with CNBC.
