Moroccan authorities arrest five suspects in cryptocurrency phishing scam

PANews reported on December 8 that according to News.bitcoin, Moroccan authorities have arrested and detained five people suspected of being involved in a cryptocurrency scam. Police also recovered an unspecified amount of funds allegedly related to the scheme, as well as mobile devices used in the crime. The unnamed suspects, aged between 24 and 48, are accused of sending phishing emails to foreign citizens. Moroccan authorities arrested the suspects after receiving a tip through international law enforcement cooperation channels.
