It is reported that this is an important part of the Polkadot 2.0 upgrade, which aims to achieve more efficient network performance and flexible expansion capabilities.

Officials said that the elastic expansion of the Polkadot mainnet version is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2025. At the same time, other core functions such as asynchronous verification (Async Backing) and agile core time (Agile Coretime) have been successfully deployed.
