Bybit removed from French AMF blacklist, seeks MiCA license

PANews reported on February 14 that according to Cointelegraph, Bybit has been removed from the blacklist after being blacklisted by the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) for "non-compliance" with local rules since May 2022. It has been confirmed that Bybit no longer appears on the AMF's "Unauthorized Companies and Websites" blacklist.

Bybit CEO Ben Zhou announced on Feb. 14 that the exchange has been working with French regulators on rectification for more than two years and is currently seeking to obtain the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) license.

However, the exchange has faced more regulatory hurdles overseas. Malaysia’s securities regulator ordered it to cease operations, while regulatory pressure forced the exchange to suspend services in India.
