US judge drops fraud charges against Mango Markets attackers

PANews reported on May 24 that according to Cointelegraph, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian dismissed Eisenberg's commodity fraud and market manipulation charges. The judge ruled that the evidence presented at the trial was insufficient to support the jury's conclusion that Avraham Eisenberg made material false statements to Mango Markets. Eisenberg was convicted of wire fraud, commodity fraud, and commodity manipulation in April 2024 for profiting $110 million by exploiting a loophole in the decentralized exchange Mango Markets in 2022.

Earlier news , US prosecutors requested that the Mango Markets attackers be sentenced to at least 6.5 years in prison.
