PANews reported on May 29 that according to The Street, blockchain analysis platform Arkham Intelligence publicly identified 70,816 Bitcoin wallet addresses related to Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), with a total value of approximately US$54.5 billion, accounting for 87.5% of its publicly disclosed holdings. This move is contrary to the position of Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor who opposes the public disclosure of addresses.
Saylor has repeatedly criticized the on-chain reserve proof mechanism, saying that publicizing wallet addresses is "like publishing your children's bank accounts, which will increase the risk of being attacked." He advocates replacing public disclosure with audits by the Big Four accounting firms. Data shows that Strategy has another 107,000 BTC custodied by Fidelity Digital Assets (non-independent custody) and 327,000 BTC custodied by Coinbase Prime.
