PANews reported on February 9 that Cynthia Lummis, the proposer of the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve Act and chair of the Senate Banking Digital Assets Subcommittee, said, "If we use 5% of the total amount of Bitcoin (about 1 million Bitcoins) to build reserves, we can reduce the US debt by half in the next 20 years."
