PANews reported on January 13 that Andre Cronje, co-founder of Sonic Labs (formerly Fantom), responded to the previous sarcastic remarks made by Monad Growth Director Tunez. He pointed out:
1. Monad did not conduct a basic investigation. Multichain is an independent third-party cross-chain bridge. Among the more than 10 chains affected, only Fantom continues to seek asset recovery.
2. The Monad narrative changes frequently, from parallel EVM to MonadDB, and may turn to other concepts in the future, but the actual effect is not good.
3. The Monad development network is a forked network of Avalanche, and even the fees are still named using AVA.
4. Although Monad is valued at $3 billion, it has no cross-chain bridge or other technical support, while Sonic has achieved its promised goals and promoted the next generation of technology iterations.
The response stems from Tunez’s previous mockery of the Sonic network’s TVL reaching $100 million, saying it was “almost equivalent to the money they lost on Multichain.”
